Mr. Howard S. Frank, brings a wealth of strategic accounting and operational experience to Fairholme Funds, Inc., where he has been a Director since May 2007. Mr. Frank has also been a board member of the The St. Joe Company since 2011.
Mr. Frank currently serves as adviser to the CEO and to the Chairman of Carnival Corporation & plc. He is also Chairman of the Board of Costa Crociere, S.p.A., Carnival Corporation's largest cruise group in Europe. From 1998 through 2013, Mr. Frank served as Vice Chairman of the Board and Chief Operating Officer of Carnival Corporation, and was responsible for directing corporate-wide business development strategies. Mr. Frank joined Carnival Corporation as Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer in July 1989.
Before joining Carnival Corporation, Mr. Frank was the partner in charge of accounting and auditing services with the South Florida offices of Price Waterhouse. He joined Price Waterhouse in 1966, was transferred to their Miami office in 1973, and admitted to the firm's partnership in 1975.
Mr. Frank is a past Chairman and current Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the New World Symphony. Mr. Frank also serves on the executive committee of the Board of Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), the world’s largest cruise industry trade organization, responsible for travel agent training, marketing, and government affairs.
